This is a really nice modern clarinet mouthpiece made by Morrie Backun and Richard Hawkins. The Backun Music Company is highly regarded as making some of the finest clarinets and clarinet accessories in the world today. This particular piece is an exceptional player and is a nice option for someone looking for a more open mouthpiece to use in a variety of settings.
Cosmetically, this piece is in fantastic shape, and has hardly been used. The piece is in basically brand-new condition. The body, facing, and beak of the mouthpiece are all pristine. The cork is in great shape and does not show any tears, cracks, or chips. I bought this piece new around a year ago; the only reason I’m selling is because I don’t play much clarinet and have multiple mouthpieces.
